South West Coast Loop – Sunset Challenge Along Mallorca’s Coast 🌅🚴‍♂️⭐

As the summer season returns, so does one of Mallorca’s most memorable evening rides: the South West Coast Loop. Combining spectacular coastal roads, golden-hour climbing, and a finish under the stars, this challenge has become a favourite for riders looking to experience the island in a different light.

Starting from Catalina Bike Rental in Palma, the route heads towards Mallorca’s stunning southwest coastline, where participants will climb through breathtaking scenery before making their way back after dark 🌊⛰️

• Distance: 80 km
• Elevation: +1,500 m
• Format: Social ride with regular regrouping

🌅 Ride Into the Sunset

The route is designed to make the most of a summer evening, taking riders through some of the island’s most scenic coastal roads as the sun begins to set. Planned stops in Estellencs and Andratx provide opportunities to refill bottles, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the atmosphere before continuing into the night ☕🥪

The pace remains social throughout the ride, with regular regrouping points ensuring the group stays connected. However, this is not a beginner ride. Riders should be confident covering 80 kilometres with significant climbing and comfortable riding after sunset.

🪖 POC Demo Experience

Thanks to POC, participants will have the opportunity to test a demo helmet during the ride. It’s a great chance to experience the brand’s latest developments in protection, ventilation, and comfort on Mallorca’s roads.

🎒 What to Bring

As this is an evening ride extending into darkness, riders should come prepared with:

• Front and rear lights (mandatory) 💡
• Plenty of food and hydration 🥤
• Cash or card for the planned refuelling stops 💳
