We are excited to announce a special ride for the 19th October- we will head for a climb that is a big part of our identity in Mallorca – the famous climb of Sa Calobra – riding down to the sea, then back up into the mountains, showing off the very best that Mallorca has to offer in a ride of 140km and with 2400m of climbing.
With a steady pace, good fitness will be necessary for those wanting to join us.
Sa Calobra starts at the Cala Tuent beach on a cul-de-sac road that has become famous around the world for its epic hairpins, unforgettable views, and the fact that it is one of the favoured measuring sticks of the pros against each other.
Finishing on the road to Puig Major, the stats of the climb include 10km of climbing with a total elevation gain of 670m in one go.
On Saturday the 19th October we will meet at 8.30am at the Palma Boutique, and head towards Coll de Soller (5km), then the longest climb on the island – Puig Major(14km), before rolling over to Sa Calobra(10km). We will return via de Coll de Sa Batalla descent, and cruise back to Palma as a group.
Tom Pidcock currently holds the KOM in a time of 22.36 minutes, can you beat your own PR on our Sa Calobra ride? Or do you prefer to ride at your own pace and take in the wide ranging views of the sea and the Tramuntana mountains?
We can’t wait to share this beautiful ride with you.
- Everyone is responsible for their own bike, spares, as well as bringing enough food and water.
- Riding safely as a group is mandatory – no overlapping wheels.
- No helmet: no ride.
