Starting Point: Rapha Mallorca Clubhouse in Palma (de Mallorca)
Kick off your journey in the vibrant city of Palma, also known as Palma de Mallorca, which is the capital of Mallorca and as well of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. Right in it’s middle not far away from the harbour you find the Rapha Mallorca Clubhouse, which is not only a cycling store and a coffee shop (with really great coffee by the way), but also starting point for weekly group rides organized and lead by the local Rapha team. So, in any case you want to go for a social ride with a group of nice people, this is one of the best places on Mallorca to go to.
Cycling out of the city center requires some careful route planning and traffic awareness. It is wise to start early to avoid heavy traffic. If included in our route you want to head towards the Ma-1041 or Ma-1110 which are popular with cyclists. Use dedicated bike lanes where available and stay vigilant at intersections. Always respect local traffic laws and be mindful of pedestrians and other cyclists.

Climb No. 1 – Ermita de Santa Llucìa (337m) | Distance: 1.6 km – Elevation Gain: 108 meters
Your first climb takes you to Ermita de Santa Llucìa. This ascent begins after passing through the quaint town of Bunyola. The road starts to rise steadily, and you’ll find yourself navigating a series of switchbacks. The climb is about 1.6 km long with an elevation gain of a little more than 100 meters, providing a moderate challenge to warm up your legs. At the top, the Ermita de Santa Llucìa offers serene views and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a quick rest.
Climb No. 2 – Puig de Son Sastre (Santa Magdalena) (281m) | Distance: 2.6 km – Elevation Gain: 179 meters
Next, ride towards Inca, where the climb to Puig de Son Sastre begins. Known as Santa Magdalena, this ascent is roughly 2.6 km long with a 180-meter elevation gain. The gradient varies, with some steeper sections that will test your stamina. Reaching the summit rewards you with stunning views from the monastery, and a chance to catch your breath while taking in the scenic landscape.
Climb No. 3 – Puig de Bonany (292m) | Distance: 3.3 km – Elevation Gain: 185 meters
After descending Santa Magdalena, continue your journey east towards Petra. Here lies the Puig de Bonany climb, a 3.3 km ascent with a 185-meter elevation gain. The road winds through lush countryside, gradually increasing in steepness. At the top, the Ermita de Bonany awaits, offering panoramic views over the island and a tranquil spot to enjoy a well-earned break.





Climb No. 4 – Sant Salvador de Felanitx (474m) | Distance: 5.0 km – Elevation Gain: 334 meters
Now, prepare for one of the most challenging climbs of the route: Sant Salvador de Felanitx. This ascent is 5 km long with a steep, almost 500-meter elevation gain. The road is narrow and winding, with sharp hairpins that will push your climbing skills to the limit. The effort is worth it, as the monastery at the summit provides breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment.
Climb No. 5 – Santuari de Monti-sion (236m) | Distance: 1.6 km – Elevation Gain: 105 meters
After tackling Sant Salvador, head towards Porreres for the next challenge: Santuari de Monti-sion. This climb is shorter, at 1.6 km, with a bit more than 100-meter elevation gain. The gradient is moderate, making it a bit easier compared to previous ascents. The monastery offers a peaceful retreat and stunning views, ideal for a short rest before the final climb.
Climb No. 6 – Puig de Randa (534m) | Distance: 4.8 km – Elevation Gain: 252 meters
The final ascent of your journey is Puig de Randa. This climb is about 7 km long with a 250-meter elevation gain. The road to the top is a mix of steady gradients and steeper sections, providing a balanced challenge. At the summit, you’ll find the Santuari de Cura, a historic monastery with sweeping views across the island. This is the perfect spot to reflect on your incredible journey before descending back towards Palma.









Return to Palma
With all six monasteries conquered, it’s time to head back to Palma. The ride back is mostly downhill or flat, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenic return. Reflect on the epic climbs and stunning sights as you make your way back to where it all began.
Once you arrive, the Rapha Clubhouse offers various drinks and snacks to fortify yourself after this epic tour and round off a successful day.
